What does ego death sound like to you?
To me? It sounds like the C O M P L E T E shedding of skin. And yes that can potentially mean multiple layers. Are you ready for that?
First lets talk about what the ego is... The ego is basically our 'sense' of self or the perceived identity.
Now, lets talk about the words sense and perceived. The definition of sense that I feel BEST suits identifying the ego is "a way in which an expression or a situation can be interpreted" and thats when referring to it as a thing. When referring to it as an action it is "to perceive using sense or senses".
Now with all that being said, our senses sometimes can actually not make sense or it can be perceived a certain way depending on the audience at the time. That way can easily become skewed based on how you, being the perceiver or not, were raised and even down where you grew up geographically. Experiencing ego death in my opinion can feel like so many different things, I've lost layers on my ego numerous times. Tell me about a time you feel you shed skin and were introduced to a more wise, indifferent, unique or newly expressed way of seeing yourself.
I feel the sheding of your egoor the death of ego..is recognizing self(root)..The shedding comes when you reach your next level, chakra, perspective, your coming out of self therefore having insight. thats why individuals have their own perspective because it’s based off ego or self. this comment would be my example of shedding skin and being introduced to a more wise, indifferent, unique or newly expressed way of seeing yourself.
